Community Outreach Events
At TLB Nutrition Therapy, we believe that nourishment extends far beyond the plate — it’s about connection, belonging, and care for one another. Our community events are an extension of our mission to make nutrition support accessible, inclusive, and rooted in equity.
Through donation drives, volunteer partnerships, and local outreach gatherings, we aim to strengthen the bonds that hold our community together. Each event is designed to create space for learning, joy, and service — whether that means sharing food with neighbors, supporting local organizations, or amplifying awareness around food justice and accessibility.
We show up in our community because healing our relationship with food also means healing our relationship with each other. By engaging in service and connection, we hope to promote dignity, inclusion, and a sense of shared purpose that aligns with TLB’s weight-inclusive and compassionate care philosophy.
Check back often for upcoming events — and join us in creating a more nourished, connected Austin and beyond.

Sandwich Social
Held on Saturday April 4th, 2026
The Sandwich Social was one for the books 🥪💛
Hosted at OutWellness, this incredible event brought our community together in the best way. With sandwich-making supplies from Monte Nido and ready-to-go sandwiches provided by Empowered Treatment, volunteers showed up ready to give back.
Together, we made 150+ sandwiches and donated an additional 20 prepared meals to those in need. At one point, people were already lining up as we were handing them out — a powerful reminder of why this work matters.
Even a downpour couldn’t slow us down (we just brought the energy indoors ☔️). Families, kiddos, and first-time volunteers - the turnout was amazing.
Grateful for every single person who showed up, pitched in, and made this day so special. This is what community looks like 🙌
TLB Nutrition Therapy and the Kind Clinic
Held on Friday, February 20th
Our team at TLB Nutrition Therapy recently hosted a volunteer event at the KIND Clinic, and we’re still feeling so grateful.
Alongside community members, we put together 1,215 condom hygiene kits and helped raise $4,860 in government funding to support KIND Clinic’s work. KIND Clinic provides culturally affirming, inclusive sexual healthcare for the LGBTQIA+ community and people affected by HIV/AIDS, and we’re proud to support a mission that recognizes sexual health as an essential part of overall wellbeing.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, donated, and gave their time. This is what happens when community comes together 💛
Our Past Community Food Drive
Held on Sunday December 7th, 2025
This drive was a success. Thank you to all who donated!! We were able to fill 5 cars worth of food and toiletry items and donate to 5 ATX Free Fridges all across Austin.
