Rachael Spadafora, MS, RD, LD
(she/her)

Lead Dietitian

Rachael has been a Registered Dietitian since 2019 after graduating from the University of Saint Francis in her hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her path to becoming a dietitian was not a straight line—she originally planned to pursue a career in dance. After high school, Rachael moved to New York City to follow that dream and spent three incredible years immersed in the dance world. During that time, her own journey toward healing her relationship with food sparked a deep interest in nutrition and ultimately led her to pursue dietetics.

Rachael has experience working across multiple levels of care, including higher levels of care in eating disorder treatment settings, where she supported individuals navigating anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, disordered eating, and body image concerns. Through this work, she walked alongside clients during some of their most vulnerable and transformative moments in recovery. These experiences have shaped her compassionate, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach to nutrition counseling.

She especially enjoys working with individuals who are ready to rebuild trust with their bodies, challenge rigid food rules, and heal their relationship with food. Rachael is passionate about supporting clients struggling with chronic dieting, food guilt, body image distress, and eating disorder recovery, helping them move toward a more sustainable and peaceful relationship with food. Her approach is rooted in the belief that all foods fit, and she strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their experiences with food and reconnecting with their internal hunger and fullness cues.

In addition to her clinical work with clients, Rachael serves as one of the Lead Dietitians at TLB Nutrition Therapy, where she provides supervision and professional support to associate dietitians. In this role, she helps guide staff in their clinical development, offers case consultation, and supports the team in delivering compassionate, high-quality care for individuals navigating eating disorders and complex relationships with food.

Rachael feels honored to walk alongside clients as they rediscover balance, confidence, and freedom in their relationship with food, and she is continually inspired by the resilience and courage her clients bring to their recovery journeys.

Outside of work, Rachael enjoys exploring new restaurants, reading, shopping and spending time with family and friends. She is also a passionate sports fan—Go Buckeyes!—and has a serious love for desserts and pastries. One day, she hopes to combine her passions by opening a coffee and bake shop of her own.

Rachael is a registered and licensed dietitian in the state of Texas and Florida. She is engaging in both in person sessions at our Greystone location and telehealth sessions.
