Emma Berglund, RD, LD (she/her)
Emma Berglund is a registered dietitian who provides nutrition therapy through a food and weight neutral lens. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition through the Coordinated Program at the University of Texas at Austin, where she completed her dietetic training.
Emma has experience supporting clients through some of the most vulnerable and complex stages of eating disorder recovery. Her approach is collaborative, relational, and informed by a variety of therapeutic models. Emma values transparency, humor, and curiosity in sessions, with the intention of creating a safe and supportive environment where meaningful, lasting change can unfold. She works with clients to explore the root causes of eating and body image related struggles, helping them move toward greater peace with food, their bodies, and their personal values related to health.
Emma has a particular interest in supporting clients as they navigate gastrointestinal challenges that commonly arise in the context of disordered eating and eating disorder recovery, such as bloating, constipation, diarrhea, and acid reflux. These symptoms can be distressing and are often misunderstood or overlooked, leading to recommendations that can make recovery more challenging. Through compassionate, evidence-based nutrition therapy, Emma helps clients explore the gut–brain connection and the relationship between eating patterns, digestive symptoms, and nervous system regulation. Her work emphasizes embodiment and interoceptive awareness, helping clients reconnect with internal cues such as hunger, fullness, and satisfaction while gently unlearning rigid food rules and shame-based beliefs. This approach supports a shift toward trusting the body as a resource rather than something to fix or control, laying the foundation for a more nourishing relationship with food, movement, and self.
When not meeting with clients, she spends much of her time volunteering with a program for middle and high school students focused on intellectual and moral empowerment. She also enjoys sci-fi books and shows, as well as finding new neighborhoods around Houston to explore on long walks.
Emma lives in Houston and is a registered and licensed dietitian in the states of Texas. She is engaging in telehealth only sessions.
