Dani Anastasi, MS, RD, LD (she/her)

Dani earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University and went on to complete both her dietetic internship and Master’s degree at Texas State University. Her professional journey has included working with clients across the lifespan and at various stages of healing, giving her valuable insight into how diverse and individual each person’s relationship with food and body truly is. Dani draws on these experiences to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that meets people where they are, with compassion and without judgment.

At TLB Nutrition Therapy, Dani works with a wide range of clients but is especially passionate about supporting individuals who are working to heal their relationship with food and their bodies. She has a strong background in eating disorder recovery and believes in challenging the harmful messages of diet culture that so often contribute to disordered eating and body image struggles. In addition to her work in this area, Dani enjoys supporting those living with PCOS and other hormonal concerns. She understands how frustrating it can be to navigate conflicting messages around nutrition and hormones, and she brings clarity, empathy, and realistic support to this work.

As an avid runner herself, Dani also loves working with athletes and active individuals. She blends her personal appreciation for movement with her professional knowledge to help clients fuel their bodies in a way that supports both performance and long-term well-being. Whether someone is training competitively or rediscovering joyful movement, Dani helps them connect to what feels good and sustainable.

In addition to her work as a dedicated dietitian, Dani is an integral part of TLB Nutrition Therapy’s Outreach Team. You might see her presenting educational sessions at local schools, health fairs, or provider events, where she brings her signature enthusiasm and expertise to the community. Dani also plays a key role in building and maintaining relationships with local providers to ensure that the heart of TLB — our spirit of connection, compassion, and client-centered care — is widely known and felt. Her infectious energy, genuine warmth, and commitment to connection perfectly represent the values we hold at TLB and the type of support you can expect when working with our team.

Dani’s nutrition philosophy is rooted in a food-and-weight-neutral approach. She believes in honoring each client’s culture, lived experience, and unique needs, and her recommendations are always individualized to reflect that. Her goal is to help clients reach a place of food and body liberation — one that feels authentic and empowering. She understands that no two journeys are the same, and she creates a supportive space where clients can explore, challenge, and grow at their own pace.

Known for her approachable personality and down-to-earth style, Dani is someone clients instantly feel at ease with. Her warmth, relatability, and genuine care make her easy to connect with. Clients often say that working with her feels both comforting and empowering. Dani brings a perfect balance of clinical knowledge, compassion, and realness to her work. Her clients feel seen, supported, and respected, and her genuine love for this work shines through in every session.

Outside of work, Dani enjoys spending time with her beloved pets — her cat, Tucker, and her dog, Sunny. Although she loves both, she proudly identifies as a cat person and isn’t shy about it. When she’s not hanging out with her animals, you’ll often find her curled up with a good book or out exploring Austin’s incredible food scene.

Dani is a registered and licensed dietitian in the state of Texas and Ohio and offers both in-person sessions at our Central office and virtual sessions via telehealth.
