Dani Anastasi, MS, RD, LD (she/her)
Outreach Support Dietitian
Dani earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University and completed both her dietetic internship and Master’s degree at Texas State University. Throughout her career, she has worked with clients across the lifespan and at many different stages of healing, giving her a deep understanding of how personal and unique each individual’s relationship with food and body can be. Dani uses these experiences to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that meets clients where they are without judgment.
At TLB Nutrition Therapy, Dani works with a wide variety of clients, but she is especially passionate about helping individuals heal their relationship with food and body. She has a strong background in eating disorder recovery and is passionate about helping clients challenge the harmful messages of diet culture that can contribute to disordered eating and body image concerns. Dani also enjoys supporting clients living with PCOS and hormonal concerns, an area she connects with personally through her own lived experience. She understands how overwhelming and confusing nutrition information around hormones can feel and strives to provide support that is realistic, compassionate, and sustainable.
As an avid runner, Dani also enjoys working with athletes and active individuals. She combines her personal appreciation for movement with her clinical knowledge to help clients nourish their bodies in ways that support both performance and overall well-being. Whether someone is training competitively or reconnecting with joyful movement, Dani helps clients build a more balanced and supportive relationship with exercise.
In addition to her clinical work, Dani is an important member of TLB Nutrition Therapy’s Outreach Team. She helps build and maintain relationships with local providers and organizations to expand access to compassionate, client-centered care within the community. Dani’s warmth, energy, and ability to connect with others reflect the heart of TLB’s mission and the type of support clients can expect from the practice. She is also the leader of TLB Nutrition Therapy’s PCOS Support Group, where she provides a safe and supportive space for clients to process their experiences alongside others navigating similar challenges.
Dani’s nutrition philosophy is rooted in a food- and weight-neutral approach. She believes in honoring each client’s culture, lived experience, and unique needs, and she individualizes care to reflect those values. Her goal is to help clients move toward a more peaceful and empowered relationship with food, body, and health while recognizing that every healing journey looks different.
Known for her approachable and down-to-earth personality, Dani creates an environment where clients quickly feel comfortable, supported, and understood. Clients often describe her as both relatable and encouraging, and her genuine passion for this work is felt throughout every session.
Outside of work, Dani enjoys spending time with her pets — her cat, Tucker, and her dog, Sunny. Although she loves both, she proudly considers herself a cat person. When she’s not with her animals, you can often find her reading a good book or exploring new restaurants around town.
Dani is a registered and licensed dietitian in Texas, Florida, and Ohio and currently offers telehealth sessions only.
